Thursday Night in
BOGOTÁ

Where to sleep

We’ll be staying in the Zona T area of Bogotá, and we recommend you do too. Bogotá is really, really big, and you’ll want to be near the action and the Friday shuttle pick-up. Check out the options below, or contact us for more recommendations.

B.O.G. Hotel

We’ll be staying here on both Thursday, July 31 and Sunday, August 3. The shuttle to Villa de Leyva will also depart from here. So this is your #1 spot for maximum convenience. Use code “FERJAKEBOG” for a reduced rate. (In the “promo code” field, not the “group code” field.)

Travel and safety tips

Don’t give “papaya.”

Basically: don’t look like a clueless foreigner. Bogotá is not the place to show off. Leave all of your valuables, passports, and cash in your hotel room. Don’t stop to talk to strangers or buy things on the street.

Only leave Zona T with an experienced and reputable guide.

Guests flying into Bogotá on Thursday likely won’t have enough time to see other parts of the city. But if you choose to, only book professional guided tours with transport included. Please do not travel alone.

Travel with a group.

When going out in Bogotá, we recommend syncing up with others in the wedding party. Uber is great for getting around. If you want to walk somewhere within Zona T, just be clear on how to get to your destination, and don’t wander.
